Frequently Asked Questions

Who are you and what is this?

Altrix Books was a personal imprint started by Paul Driscoll and Kara Dennison to release Seasons of War: Gallifrey. From there, we've grown into a personal indie publisher devoted (at the moment) to charity anthologies and the upcoming Chronosmith Chronicles.

Are you associated with the BBC?

We have no official association with any branch of the BBC. Our Seasons of War volume and any charity anthologies we run are produced with no intention of copyright infringement, and our sales run only for as long as permitted by this model.

Is Seasons of War: Gallifrey canonical in the Doctor Who universe?

Heck, we don't know. We like to pretend it is.

I would like to buy a copy of Seasons of War: Gallifrey. Where can I get it?

As Gallifrey was a charity project, it was available only for a certain amount of time out of respect to the rights holders. We have no plans at this time to make it available again. However, the upcoming Chronosmith Chronicles series will serve as a new home for the original characters and concepts created therein, so we encourage you to look into those once they become available!

How do I get my manuscript published by Altrix?

At present, we are not accepting manuscripts from outside authors. We will occasionally take calls for specific projects, and will announce them on our blog.

I want to publish a charity anthology but don't have anywhere to print it. Can I print through you?

For now, we do not run other people's charity anthology projects except in special cases.

I'd like to hire one of you for an anthology/project I'm working on.

Awesome! Let us know more about it via our contact page. We can't guarantee we'll be available, but we'll make sure to give it a look.

I'd like a review copy of one of your books.

Sure! Please hit up our contact page with links to a few reviews you've done, and we'll get in touch with you. (Mainly we just want to make sure we're submitting to active bloggers and reviewers.)
